Snowstorm!

Today it snowed 12 inches! Unfortunately for the girls, it's a Saturday, so only thing cancelled was Allie's b-ball game. While Dad worked, I shoveled the driveway. IT was our first significant snow of the season!

Great Wolf Lodge

We went to Great Wolf in Kansas City for a quick getaway during Christmas break. THe girls loved it, especially the cabin-style suite.

Christmas 2011

I haven't updated this blog in over 9 months! Since we are snowed in, I will do it now. The girls had a great Christmas and got everything they could ever want, plus a 2 week break from school!

Easter Baskets

The girls woke up at 7am (groan!) on Easter morning (much earlier than even Christmas!) to get their baskets. It took them awhile to find them, but Celia found Allie's behind the couch, and Allie found Celia's inside the ottoman. Celia cleaned hers out in no time.

Easter Eggs

The girls dyed some Easter eggs Saturday night and put a few out for the Easter bunny.

Spring Jammies

Grandma sent the girls new Spring jammies and slippers, along with some dolls from her recent trip.

Autism Tournament

Kristin and I were doubles partners for the Autism Tournament at the Racquet Club last Sunday. We did really well - only losing the trophy by a few points! Better luck next time!

Mall Jump

The Oak Park Mall had this cool Mall Jump thing with bungee cords and trampolines - the girls LOVED it and did it twice !

AG store

because the weather was cold and rainy, we decided to go to Overland Park where the American Doll Store is. Allie got Kit's ears pierced and also bought her a little chair to sit on as well. Celia went to the Disney store for her "treat".

Crown Center

Next we went to Crown Center, but it was a little cold out so basically we shopped around and had dinner.

T-Rex Cafe

On our trip to Kansas City we first stopped at the T-Rex Cafe at the Legends Outlet Mall. The girls LOVED all the moving dinosaurs and other creatures.

Circus

The circus came to town once again. The dancing elephant was pretty cool, and Cee liked the clowns :-)

Basketball

Allie's first year of basketball came to an end. She did really well, averaging 4 points a game. The Lightning won the last game too. Now she wants a basketball hoop so we can practice at home.

Science Fair

More than 200 kids had exhibits for the science fair from Allie's school. The microwave popcorn experiment was very popular! It was a good experience for Allie and Melina.

Science Fair Project

Allie and her friend Melina completed their science fair project - which popcorn pops the best? We popped close to a dozen bags and counted the un-popped kernels. The winner? Orville Redenbacher's. More pictures to follow from the fair.

Morrill Hall

Celia's school had a field trip at Morrill Hall on UNL campus on President's Day. Allie had the day off so she came along.
