Merry Christmas!

Hope everyone had a warm and happy Christmas! Allie and Celia received more presents than they know what to do with! Among Allie's favorite.....her Barbie computer, princess oven and art supplies. Celia liked her new doll and carrier and all of Allie's things. Mom got a new radio to dock her iPod and a bathrobe, Mark got lots of new clothes for work!

Visit with Santa

It's always fun visiting Santa with little ones, isn't it? Here's a photo of Allie and Celia with him when he visited the Lincoln Racquet Club. Celia wanted nothing to do with him! Fortunately Allie got some one-on-one time with him afterwards. She told him she wanted a computer and a horse!

Snow!

We finally got a significant snowfall - 4-5 inches - so the girls had fun outside. I helped them build a snow fort with Allie's new brick-maker (I had the same one when I was little!) Celia looks like a little snowman in her pink snowsuit!!

Christmas Tree

The girls went to a Christmas tree farm and picked out their own tree with Dad, then it was cut down. Allie made the final decision and picked out this pretty tree. Allie started decorating the tree, but Celia liked to take them off better!

Sisters

Celia just loves her big sister, Allie. Whether they're coloring together or on the computer, she just can't get enough of her. It's so cute!

TV Stars

Allie and Celia were on the end of KLKN's 5:00pm news with their costumes on. We took a picture afterwards with Dad. Allie decided to change into Aerial at the last minute.

Kindergarten Halloween Party

Here are a couple pics of Allie at her Halloween party today. I was one of many volunteers helping kids get into costumes, etc. She was Elina from the Barbie Fairytopia movie. Her teacher, Mrs. Arter was a Hershey's Kiss!

Boo at the Zoo

Allie and her friend Abby along with Celia had fun at Boo at the Zoo. Allie and Abby were Princess Genevieve from one of those Barbie movies. Allie's hair was supposed to be yellow (blonde) but turned out green instead! Luckily she didn't seem to care. Celia was all warm in her bee costume !

Fall Foliage

A couple pictures of the fall leaves in Lincoln. The trees aren't as pretty as they usually are, but the girls didn't seem to mind.

Tennis Lessons

Allie starts her first day of tennis lessons today. She was very excited with her new pink racket.

So Many Choices!

What should I be for Halloween? The girls are still deciding. Allie will probably be Elina from the Barbie Fairytopia movie, and Celia is deciding between Winnie the Pooh and a bumblebee! Allie loves to dress up, but Celia is not fond of it - yet !

Pumpkin Patch

We went on our 5th annual trip to the Roca Berry Farm this weekend to take a hayrack ride and pick out some pumpkins. Allie had fun playing the life-size Candyland game and jumping in the bouncey house. Celia likes to watch her sister and follow her around. The weather was great too, so a good time for everyone.

Sledding in October

The girls thought it would be fun to go sledding tonight. Guess all these 80 degree days are making them wish for winter - it'll be here soon enough !

She Won't Nap!!!

Why won't the girl nap???? Every time I put her down, this is what I find - a very awake little girl. It's starting to drive me crazy, especially when her sister used to take LONG naps when she was this age. Dad wonders why nothing ever gets done and the house is a mess when he gets home !

Our Pets

Allie insisted we get some photos of our pets on here. So we have our dog, Maggie, who is 5 years old. She is a chocolate lab mix. Our cat, Bugger, just turned 10 - can't believe he's that old already! Even though the animals pretty much ruin our house, the girls love them, so at least they're good for something.

Omaha Zoo

Allie and I went to the Omaha Zoo a couple weeks ago and let Dad and Celia get some quality time together :-) These pictures show Allie at the giraffe exhibit and near the entrance next to the gigantic rotating ball. Her favorite things to see are the fish in the aquarium and the polar bears and tigers and lions. It was a beautiful September day, and there were lots of USC fans at the zoo as well. You couldn't miss them, walking around in their USC gear. They just beat Nebraska the night before so guess they were doing some sightseeing in Nebraska before they left (not much else to see besides Memorial Stadium and the zoo!) Mom got some shopping in before we left, so it was a good day for all ;-)

Celia's 1st Birthday!

We can't forget Celia's 1st birthday party! It wasn't as big a party as Allie's, but she had her fill of cupcakes and presents, so she was a happy girl. It was the first time she ever had cake, so she enjoyed it. Some gifts she received; activity table, scooter, her first purse, playhouse door thing, books, and some clothes. Can't believe it's been a year already !!

Allie's 5th Birthday Party

Allie had her 5th birthday party at the Lincoln Children's Zoo. Her friends Abby, Olivia, Alexis, Zane and her cousins Ben and Jake were all in attendance. It was a good time for all, and no clean-up for mom and dad ;-)

Kindergarten

5-year old Allie is a kindergartner at Hill Elementary School. She really likes it, and luckily her class is in the afternoon because she is not a morning person :-) Her favorite things at kindergarten are computer, art, music and P.E. class. This week she has a book fair at school so we will be heading to that today.
