Christmas Eve/Day

Another blizzard!

We got another 10 -12 inches dumped on Christmas day! They even closed down the interstate. CHeck out the pile of snow on our patio table.....

Snowman

The girls made a couple snowmen today now that it's not so cold outside.....

Santa

During the 2nd snow day, we visited Santa at the mall. For the first time in 3 years we have a good picture with him!

Snowstorm

The girls helped me shovel when we were dumped with 12 inches of snow a couple weeks ago. We even had 3 snow days as a result!

Allie dancing before Parade

Allie danced before the Star City Parade on Saturday. Temps were in the 20s and it was really cold, but she did a good job. It was a good parade too, 100,000 people came out for it!

Christmas Tree

We went and picked out our own x-mas tree and had it cut down. It is really pretty and was definitely worth it!

Thanksgiving

Grandma came to town for Thanksgiving. The girls had lots of fun with her, and enjoyed going shopping and staying at her hotel.

Allie's First Sleep-over

Allie had her first sleepover and it went pretty well, except for her friend Abby waking up at the crack of dawn the next day! THey watched movies and had monkey bread in the morning :-)

Pumpkin Patch

This year we went to the HUGE Vala's Pumpkin Patch in Gretna. Only b/c we got free tickets. Boy was there lots to do there! It was cold out, but a good time.

Costume Parade

Allie had her last costume parade at school this year :-( They only get to dress up until 2nd Grade. She was Kit Kittredge this year, so was the most unique costume I thought! And it was freezing cold out too!

Celia's Halloween Party

Celia had her Halloween party at school. She went as Snow White and even carried a poison apple. She had a lot of fun dressing up, there were 5 other princesses too!

Yum-O!!!

Snow in October???

It snowed this morning on October 10th!!! Maybe in Minnesota this happens, but not here in Nebraska. I felt like we should get out the Christmas decorations or something! THe girls quickly got on their snow attire and headed outside. Let's hope this snow doesn't continue!

Kit back from hospital

Kit came back from the hospital with her leg intact and a new hospital gown and hairdo. Allie was pretty excited when she came home from school. We were getting worried since she will be part of Allie's halloween costume!

Heart Pizzas

The girls made pizzas tonight and decided to shape their crusts into hearts.....they turned out really good (although even a heart-shaped pizza doesn't tempt picky Celia!)

Goodbye Crib

Celia said goodbye to her crib, hello to her little bed.....and she really likes it ! Allie read her some stories on the first night, and even wanted to sleep with her on it, but it's just too small for two.....

Adventureland in a Day!

We drove up to Adventureland in Des Moines for the day since we got free tickets. The girls had lots of fun, especially on the mini-ferris wheel and ski-lift thing (that scared me!)......Allie even won at bingo!!

Kit goes to Hospital

Poor Kit....her leg fell off while Allie was changing her. We sent her to the American Girl Doll Hospital. For a mere $30 plus shipping we get a new leg. We will update her status when she comes home......

Nebraska City

We took the girls to pick apples in Nebraska City, the home of Arbor Day. It was pretty fun, a lot of people!
