Adventureland in a Day!

We drove up to Adventureland in Des Moines for the day since we got free tickets. The girls had lots of fun, especially on the mini-ferris wheel and ski-lift thing (that scared me!)......Allie even won at bingo!!

Kit goes to Hospital

Poor Kit....her leg fell off while Allie was changing her. We sent her to the American Girl Doll Hospital. For a mere $30 plus shipping we get a new leg. We will update her status when she comes home......

Nebraska City

We took the girls to pick apples in Nebraska City, the home of Arbor Day. It was pretty fun, a lot of people!

Pre-school carnival

Celia had a pre-school carnival today and got to play games and win prizes. Allie decided it was a good time to show off her new "Kit" American Girl outfit.

Wildlife Safari

We went on a wildlife safari in Ashland, NE, and it was pretty cool! We saw elk, bison, deer, bears, birds and wolves (we didn't actually see a wolf though) - one Elk got right next to our car!

Last State Fair in Lincoln

We went to the last state fair in Lincoln, as it is moving to Grand Island next year. I doubt we will ever go to it there, so we made the most of it this year. Food, games, rides, animals, etc! Allie had Dippin Dots, pizza on a stick and cotton candy. Dad had pizza on a stick and cheesecake on a stick. Mom had corn on the cob on a stick and a root beer float. Celia had cotton candy.

Allie's 7th B-day

Allie had a Tie-Dye birthday party with decorate-your-own cookies and a Wizard of Oz theme. It was kind of crazy, but I think everyone had a good time.

Celia's First Day of Pre-School

Celia was very excited for her first day of pre-school......she even took her backpack to bed with her! I'm not sure if she likes it yet, she's a bit overwhelmed by it all. So far her favorite part is "snack time" :-)
