Iowa City Weekend

We traveled to Iowa City this past weekend to watch Ian & Ross compete in a regional gymnastics meet. They both did really well! Allie and Celia were able to see their cousins, Aunt Kelly, Uncle Stu and Grandma too!

Soccer Season!

Allie started micro-soccer today and had a lot of fun! 3 of the girls on her team are in her class at school. The team (The Falcons) has 7 players, so they rotate a lot since it's 4 on 4. The other team only had 4 players, and looked experienced! The Falcons lost 2-0.

Hangin' Out

Celia loves her dog, Maggie. Today she felt like lounging around with her. Poor Maggie just put up with it.

Grandma's Visit

Grandma came to visit the girls for a few days. Allie stayed at her hotel for 2 nights and went swimming and stayed up really late. Celia was kind of sick, but still managed to have some fun with her.

Happy Easter

The Easter bunny came and the girls found lots of treats and toys in their baskets. Celia's favorite was the jelly beans and Allie's was the chocolate bunny. Then they put on their new Easter dresses. Allie and mom went to church and later Celia and Dad joined us for brunch. Now it's time for a nap!

Easter Eggs

The girls dyed Easter eggs tonight, and actually went to bed without a fuss! We'll see what the Easter bunny brings tomorrow....

Reading Together

Celia loves books, sometimes Allie will even read to her, and Celia loves that!

Hi Easter Bunny!

Allie and Celia met the Easter Bunny today! He was greeting kids at the Racquet Club and handing out eggs and treats.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Allie made this leprechaun mask in school but wouldn't wear it, so Celia was happy to put it on :-) Meanwhile, the rest of us wore green and ate shamrock cookies.

St. Patty's Day 1994

Here's a blast from the past - celebrating St. Patty's Day back in 1994, my senior year of college. We got to the bar at 5am to get a free t-shirt and eat green eggs and ham. And I still made it to my classes that day ;-)

Happy 5 1/2 Birthday

Allie officially turned 5 1/2 today and she wanted a celebration! It's also a big week for her because she lost her front tooth on Sunday. The tooth fairy left her 8 quarters, and will be back soon since her other front tooth is loose too! This is the third time she's lost a tooth. She's saving her money for a new Barbie (even though she has around 19).

Day at the Zoo

It was 64 degrees on Saturday so we decided to head to the Omaha Zoo. It's a good thing we did because things turned cold and snowy the next day! Allie met her friend Abby at the zoo along with Mitchell, the son of one of Mark's friends. They all had a lot of fun, especially Celia who loved looking at all the animals :-)

Spring is almost here!

We are so tired of the winter and looking forward to warmer weather, so the girls decided to put on their new Spring dresses and hats. Too cute!!

Dance Class

Here are some pictures of Allie at her tap/ballet class. She has her big recital in 3 months, so she's pretty excited about that. Celia usually spends the whole time trying to join Allie and her classmates on the dance floor!

Valentine's Day Party

Allie and her friends Jagger and Emma show us some of their valentines from their classmates at their Valentine's Day party. The kids played games, decorated bags and shared lots of candy. Mom and Celia came and helped out too :-)

More Snow!

We got around 5 inches of snow on Tuesday and school was cancelled on Wednesday, so we took out the sled and went for some rides around the yard. The girls had so much fun.

Cookie Monster Comes to Town

The girls met Cookie Monster at Dad's work. He was there to promote Sesame Street Live, which they saw the next day. They weren't even scared of him, Celia kept waving at him the whole time :-)

Merry Christmas!

Hope everyone had a warm and happy Christmas! Allie and Celia received more presents than they know what to do with! Among Allie's favorite.....her Barbie computer, princess oven and art supplies. Celia liked her new doll and carrier and all of Allie's things. Mom got a new radio to dock her iPod and a bathrobe, Mark got lots of new clothes for work!

Visit with Santa

It's always fun visiting Santa with little ones, isn't it? Here's a photo of Allie and Celia with him when he visited the Lincoln Racquet Club. Celia wanted nothing to do with him! Fortunately Allie got some one-on-one time with him afterwards. She told him she wanted a computer and a horse!

Snow!

We finally got a significant snowfall - 4-5 inches - so the girls had fun outside. I helped them build a snow fort with Allie's new brick-maker (I had the same one when I was little!) Celia looks like a little snowman in her pink snowsuit!!

Christmas Tree

The girls went to a Christmas tree farm and picked out their own tree with Dad, then it was cut down. Allie made the final decision and picked out this pretty tree. Allie started decorating the tree, but Celia liked to take them off better!

Sisters

Celia just loves her big sister, Allie. Whether they're coloring together or on the computer, she just can't get enough of her. It's so cute!
