First day of 2nd Grade

Aug 19 -first day of school in Lincoln! Way too early, but Allie was excited. She gets to ride the bus this year since her school is under construction and they have to go to a temporary school for a whole year.

pre-school orientation

Celia went to pre-school orientation on Tuesday to meet her teachers and see the classroom. Allie showed her around since she was there only a few years ago! They liked the hair salon the best :-)

Morrill Hall

We went to the Natural History Museum on UNL campus last week. Celia loved seeing the dinosaurs and other animals there. Allie's been there a few times before.

Closet for Kit

We made a cute closet for Kit's clothes.....just got a wooden box from Michael's and put a wooden dowel in it to hang the clothes. It's already fulL!

The Wiggles!

Mark got media passes to see the Wiggles AND backstage passes! Whoa! To think that only 3 years ago we paid big bucks to see these guys in Omaha. Today the venue wasn't even half-full. THe girls had fun and Olivia came too :-)

Party at CCs

Celia wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese's for her birthday, and even Julie came out for the occasion. Mom won lots of tickets at Skee-ball :-) Allie sat at the wrong table and started to drink somebody else's drink. She got all embarrassed (see 2nd picture) it was so funny!

Celia's 3rd Birthday

Celia started off her birthday with monkey bread (with 3 candles) and presents. She loved the polar bear with the vet kit! And a cute dress!

Softball

Allie's softball season is winding down with only 1 game left. She had a great hit this game, even though mom couldn't pitch to her because I broke my ankle! I will be in a boot-cast for 6 weeks or so. Fun summer!

Clifford @ Library

Just thought it was going to be another day at the library, and a little bonus with Clifford there. Oh no, every kid in Lincoln came out for the event. It was scary.

Linoma Beach

We finally visited Linoma Beach between Lincoln and Omaha (hence the name LINOMA), it was pretty fun, the girls had a blast.

Judy Garland Festival

The girls went to the Judy Garland birthplace and met 2 of the munchkins from the movie! The guy is the one who handed the lollipop to Dorothy. They also saw her childhood home and toured the museum.

Grandma's House

The girls had fun spending time with grandma and going fishing at a lake near her house. Celia caught her first fish!

MOA

Next stop, Mall of America. We visited the new American Girl store in addition to the amusement park. Girls had lots of fun. Wait - what about mom's shopping?? Maybe, next time :-(
